Synopsis

Yu Narukami transfers to the rural countryside town of Inaba to live with his detective uncle and young cousin. Shortly after his arrival, a bizarre string of unsolved murders rocks the sleepy town, where victims are found draped across television antennas on foggy mornings. Investigating rumors surrounding the Midnight Channel, a mysterious television broadcast that airs only on rainy nights, Yu and his classmates Yosuke and Chie discover an entrance into a surreal world inside television sets. Awakening powerful manifestations of their psyches known as Personas, the Investigation Team fights dangerous Shadows to unmask the serial killer.

Produced by AIC ASTA and directed by Seiji Kishi, *Persona 4 the Animation* adapts Atlus's popular role-playing video game. Airing from October 2011 to March 2012 for 25 episodes, the television series earned widespread critical admiration for its stylish visual direction, witty deadpan humor, and faithful translation of the game's beloved social link mechanics. Featuring iconic music composed by Shoji Meguro and dynamic Persona summon sequences, the anime successfully balanced lighthearted high school camaraderie with a compelling supernatural murder mystery, establishing Yu Narukami as an endearing, charismatic protagonist among global gaming and anime communities.
