Biography

Takaaki Wada is a Japanese animator whose key animation credits run through many of the biggest action and shonen franchises of the last two decades [1]. He has provided key animation for Death Note, Bleach, Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2, Blue Exorcist, One Punch Man, Psycho-Pass, and My Hero Academia's second season [1]. Beyond key animation, he has taken on animation director duties on Golden Kamuy and its second season, and served as chief animation director on Mainichi Kaasan [1]. He has also worked as episode director and storyboard artist on Gatchaman Crowds, Megalo Box, and the second season of the Ace Attorney anime [1]. His credited work stretches back to the late 1980s, including in-between animation on Legend of the Galactic Heroes, through to productions released in 2022 [1].
