Biography
Youko Iizuka is a Japanese key animator and animation director whose career runs from the 1990s to the present across more than 400 recorded credits [1]. She has worked as key animator on long-running franchises including Dragon Ball, One Piece, and Naruto Shippuden, as well as on Bleach, Haikyu!!, Kill la Kill, and My Hero Academia [1]. Iizuka has also taken on animation director roles for individual episodes of Happy Sugar Life, Blue Period, and Tokyo Ghoul:re [1], series that call for more character-focused, emotionally controlled artwork than straightforward action animation. Her collaborators include the animation studios Seigasha and MARVY JACK [1].
