On the dying alien world of Eltria, the Florian family struggles to revitalize their barren ecosystem through advanced geo-engineering research. When father Grants Florian falls fatally ill, younger daughter Amitie urges practical resignation, while elder daughter Iris is convinced by an artificial intelligence familiar named Yuri to travel across space to Earth. Believing that Earth's magical cores can resurrect Eltria, Iris manipulates a troubled magical girl named Dearche and steals ancient magical grimoires. In Uminari City, magical protectors Nanoha Takamachi, Fate Testarossa, and Hayate Yagami mobilize their barrier jackets to prevent interdimensional plunder.
⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Iris and her summoned magical familiars launch surprise attacks across Tokyo, extracting magical resonance cores from Earth's ley lines and hospitalizing several Bureau mages. Nanoha, Fate, and Hayate coordinate heavy bombardment spells to protect innocent civilians, while Amitie arrives from Eltria to stop her sister. During a fierce battle at the industrial harbor, Nanoha discovers that Yuri is an ancient biological terraforming core corrupted by despair. Iris's allies overwhelm Earth's defenses, stealing the Book of Darkness fragments and setting the stage for a climactic showdown on Eltria.
Never thought I'd see the day I'd give a Nanoha series this high a rating, honestly. Fate fans might want to add another, as she gets to fight quite a bit in this series this time around.
