Biography
Masayuki Fujita is a Japanese animator who has worked as animation director, key animator, and chief animation director across more than three hundred recorded television and film credits [1]. His career runs from the 1990s through the early 2020s [1], with animation-director work on Sword Art Online, Log Horizon, and Kono Subarashii Sekai ni Shukufuku wo!, key animation on Attack on Titan, One Piece, and Naruto, and contributions to Persona 4: The Animation, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, Berserk, and Kill la Kill [1]. Fujita has also taken chief animation director and character animation director credits on individual productions [1], the senior role responsible for keeping a show's character art consistent across dozens of episodes and multiple subcontracted studios. As is common for animators whose work centers on episode-level craft rather than public-facing roles, detailed biographical information about him is scarce beyond his production credits.
