Story

Synopsis

Middle school genius Kiyo Takamine departs for seaside summer camp, leaving his beloved demon partner Zatch Bell behind with promises of constructing an upgraded cardboard toy. Shortly afterward, a gigantic robotic duplicate named Mechavulcan kidnaps Kiyo and transports him across a temporal warp. Driven by future scientist Doctor M2, the rogue machine plots to exploit Kiyo intellect to dominate tomorrow world. Befriending a sentient prototype model, Zatch and his loyal mamodo companions breach the temporal rift. The duo unleashes resonant lightning incantations to dismantle the mechanical titan and stabilize the collapsing space-time continuum.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Premiering in August 2005 under Toei Animation banner, this second theatrical feature from the *Zatch Bell!* franchise was directed by Takuya Igarashi. Adapting Makoto Raiku popular supernatural manga published in Weekly Shonen Sunday, the original storyline expands upon Zatch beloved homemade cardboard mascot Vulcan 300. Featuring high-energy comedic slapstick alongside intense spell-casting battles, the movie delighted family audiences across Japanese theaters, highlighting the unbreakable bond between mamodo and human bookkeeper.
