Synopsis
Following a horrific plane crash during an overseas school trip, quiet high school student Mutsumi Oribe and her surviving classmates find themselves stranded on an uncharted, misty island. While the teenagers initially hope for a speedy maritime rescue, they quickly realize that the island is ruled by gargantuan, flesh-eating insects that hunt human prey. Relying on Mutsumi's encyclopedic knowledge of entomology and insect behavior, the fractured student group must navigate treacherous jungles, avoiding predatory wasps, monstrous butterflies, and parasitic bugs, while human paranoia threatens to destroy their fragile survival alliance from within.

Studio Passione produced this survival horror anime film, serving as an expanded theatrical version of the 2019 original video animation adaptation. Directed by Takeo Takahashi and Naoyuki Tatsuwa, with scripts penned by Shigeru Morita, the film premiered in Japanese theaters in January 2020. The project adapted the gruesome web manga created by Yasutaka Fujimi and illustrated by RED ICE, serialized on Akita Shoten's Champion Cross platform. Financed partly through a successful global crowdfunding campaign, the movie gained a dedicated cult following among horror fans for its shocking biological creature designs and visceral survival sequences.
