Synopsis

Waking up in the middle of a vast twilight horizon with no recollection of her identity, teenage girl Neko Tsukahara arrives at the enigmatic Twilight Hotel, an otherworldly establishment situated between life and the afterlife. Because the hotel guests are departed souls who have forgotten whether they are dead or alive, Neko takes on employment as a hotel detective to help eccentric visitors uncover their past memories. Solving intricate murder mysteries, personal regrets, and tragic family secrets, Neko gradually uncovers the startling truth behind her own forgotten death.

Background (may contain spoilers)

Based on the popular mystery adventure mobile escape game developed by SEEC, *Tasokare Hotel* was adapted into an animated television series by studio PRA. Directed by Kousuke Koushiba, the anime translates the game gothic atmosphere, eccentric character interactions, and suspenseful puzzle-solving mechanics into an engaging serialized mystery. The production combines art deco hotel interiors, dramatic mystery deduction, evocative nocturnal lighting, and poignant emotional resolutions, providing fans with a stylish supernatural detective experience.
