Synopsis

In Edo-period Japan, young shrine guardian Jinta defends a remote mountain temple alongside his beloved foster sister, the shrine maiden Suzune. When a malevolent demon attacks the sanctuary, Jinta defeats the creature only to receive a cryptic prophecy foretelling an apocalyptic disaster spanning generations. Bound to protect his loved ones and wield a sacred blade across centuries, Jinta embarks on an epic, centuries-spanning journey that carries him through the Edo, Meiji, and modern eras, tracking demonic reincarnations while confronting the tragic destiny entwining his loved ones.

Background (may contain spoilers)
