Story
Synopsis
Eccentric upperclassman Tatewaki Kuno purchases an antique egg that hatches a mythological Phoenix chick, which immediately nests atop Kuno's head and feeds upon his self-deluded ego. Growing at an alarming rate, the bird develops demonic proportions and aggressively attacks anyone in the neighborhood. When the monstrous bird terrorizes the Tendo Dojo and kidnaps Akane Tendo, Ranma Saotome, Ryoga Hibiki, Shampoo, and Ukyo Kuonji must form an uneasy martial arts alliance. The chaotic team embarks on a frantic airborne pursuit, combining their absurd combat styles to rescue Akane from the feathered terror.
⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
The Phoenix attains colossal adult size, threatening to lay waste to Nerima. Ranma discovers the bird's ancient weakness: feeding it a special martial arts rice cracker that forces it into peaceful slumber. Utilizing his airborne Hiryu Shoten Ha tornado technique alongside Kuno's unintentional blunders, Ranma redirects the giant bird's wind attacks and shoves the cracker into its beak. The beast calms instantly, shrinks back into an adorable little chick, and flies off into the sunset. Akane embraces Ranma in relief, before their usual comedic bickering resumes as Kuno chases both of them down the street.
