Synopsis

In the harmonious Harmonica Kingdom of the Triangle Nebula, cheerful Princess Comet is arranged to marry the Prince of the Tambourine Kingdom during a grand stellar ball. However, the reluctant prince flees into outer space, seeking refuge on Earth. Armed with her magical baton and accompanied by her loyal puppy companion Rubba, Comet travels to Tokyo to search for the missing royal. Living with an ordinary Japanese family, Comet learns about human affection, paints starry skies, and helps neighborhood friends while competing against rival princess Meteor.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Airing forty-three episodes on TV Tokyo from April 2001 to January 2002, *Princess Comet* was produced by Nippon Animation and directed by Mamoru Kanbe. Loosely inspired by the classic manga and live-action television dramas created by Mitsuteru Yokoyama, the anime reimagined the concept into a whimsical, heartwarming magical girl adventure. With character designs by Tomoki Kyoda and evocative musical scoring by Moka, the production charmed family viewers through its gentle episodic morals, imaginative visual style, and tender coming-of-age storytelling.
