Story
Synopsis
Accompanied by his loyal partner Pikachu and his mother Delia, aspiring Pokémon Master Ash Ketchum arrives in the distant Unova region alongside Professor Oak. Shortly after landing, an encounter with the legendary thunder dragon Zekrom temporarily disrupts Pikachu's electric powers, setting the tone for an unpredictable new journey. Joined by the spirited wild girl Iris and culinary Pokémon Connoisseur Cilan, Ash traverses unfamiliar cities to collect eight Unova Gym Badges. Along the route, they battle rival trainers and confront the enigmatic Team Plasma, an ideological syndicate seeking to sever bonds between humans and Pokémon.
⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Marking the fourth major television series installment of the global multimedia franchise, *Pokemon: Best Wishes!* was produced by OLM under general director Kunihiko Yuyama and director Norihiko Sudo. Broadcasting eighty-four episodes between September 2010 and June 2012 on TV Tokyo, the series adapted Nintendo and Game Freak's *Pokemon Black* and *White* RPGs. The anime served as a soft reset for the anime continuity, introducing refreshed digital art designs, faster battle pacing, and a brand-new generation of pocket monsters.
