Story
Synopsis
The Gryps War escalates into an apocalyptic three-way conflict as the corrupt Titans, the rebel AEUG, and the resurrected Zeon remnant Axis battle for interplanetary dominance. Commanded by Paptimus Scirocco and Axis matriarch Haman Karn, opposing mobile suit armadas clash around colossal colony laser superweapons. In the cockpit of the Zeta Gundam, Kamille Bidan channels the psychic spirits of fallen comrades, confronting ruthless despots in a blistering metaphysical duel. Kamille and Char Aznable risk everything to shatter tyrannical oppression and secure a peaceful future for spaceborne humanity.
⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Premiering in March 2006, this third feature concludes Yoshiyuki Tomino cinematic *New Translation* trilogy produced by Sunrise. Notably, Tomino radically revised the famously bleak, mentally devastating tragedy of the 1986 television finale into an optimistic, emotionally uplifting resolution for Kamille and Fa Yuiry. Featuring roughly fifty percent brand-new digital animation cuts and concluding with Gackt stirring power ballad *Love Letter*, the film provides a triumphant and hopeful closing statement to the iconic Universal Century conflict.
