Synopsis

Gero is a deadly assassin born into a centuries-old underworld lineage of poison masters who avoids modern romance due to his lethal trade. However, when his clan threatens to force his lesbian sister into an arranged marriage to produce an heir, Gero resolves to find a bride himself to preserve her freedom. Teaming up with Kinosaki, a flamboyant marriage swindler he was initially hired to assassinate, Gero navigates high-stakes matchmaking while fending off rival hitmen. Combining lethal tactical combat with awkward speed-dating mishaps, Gero fights to find genuine romantic companionship.

Adapted from the popular Shonen Jump+ action comedy manga created by Joumyaku and illustrated by Mizuki Yoda, *Marriagetoxin* was developed as a high-profile television anime for 2026. The series attracted widespread international readers for blending brutal underworld martial arts choreography with hilarious romantic comedy dating dilemmas.
