Story

Synopsis

The war between the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance escalates as both Reinhard von Lohengramm and Yang Wen-li face situations where tactical brilliance must compensate for political decisions made by superiors with no military competence whatsoever. Fleet engagements are decided by positioning, supply, and timing rather than numbers, and the film keeps its attention on the officers and soldiers who absorb the consequences of choices made light years away. The scale is enormous, but the human cost is tracked individually throughout. Every decision made in a conference room costs lives somewhere far away.
