Biography
Yoko Kikuchi is a Japanese animator and character designer who has worked in anime production since 1992 [1]. She has been affiliated with several studios over her career, including Bee Train, Studio Fantasia, Studio Deen, and Production I.G [1]. She designed characters for the fantasy series Arc the Lad (1999) and the spy thriller Noir (2001), and went on to design for .hack//Legend of the Twilight (2003), Rumbling Hearts (2003), and El Cazador de la Bruja (2007) [1]. Her character-design work later extended into the Junjou Romantica series (2008-2009) and Kuroko's Basketball (2012), as well as the 2024 fantasy series Ishura [1]. As an animation director she has worked across several entries in the Tsubasa franchise, on Umineko When They Cry (2009), and contributed animation direction to the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal film (2021) [1]. She is married to fellow animator Eiji Suganuma [1].
