Story
Synopsis
When Nobita rescues an abandoned stray puppy named Ichi and a kitten named Zubu, he realizes the strict rules of his neighborhood make keeping pets impossible. To provide them a safe home, Nobita, Doraemon, and their friends use the Time Machine to transport the animals three hundred million years into the past, long before humans existed. Nobita uses the Evolution Light beam to grant the creatures intelligence and agriculture tools. When Nobita returns to visit Ichi one thousand years later in the future, he discovers a hyper-advanced kingdom of anthropomorphic dogs and cats facing an apocalyptic asteroid impact.
⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
The children discover that a megalomaniacal billionaire cat named Nekojara plots to commandeer the civilization's giant rescue ark to invade modern human Earth, seeking vengeance for abandoned domestic pets. Nekojara traps Nobita's group and sabotages the ark's energy generators. An elderly canine elder reveals himself to be Ichi, who waited for three hundred years inside a cryogenic suspension capsule to fulfill his childhood promise to see Nobita again. Together with Ichi, Nobita defeats Nekojara, repairs the ark thrusters, and safely evacuates the entire animal populace into deep space before the catastrophic meteor strikes Earth.
