Biography
Yasuyuki Noda works as an animator and character designer affiliated with the studio collective Group Zen, and has spent much of his career doing animation supervision for productions handled by Studio Comet, A-1 Pictures, and Nexus [1]. His credits reach back to key animation on Mobile Suit Gundam ZZ in the 1980s, and through the late 1990s and 2000s he moved into character design and animation supervision on shows including Super Invention Boy Kanipan, Bikkuriman 2000, and School Rumble [1]. He has continued in that supervisory role in recent years, credited as character designer and chief animation supervisor on both seasons of Princess Connect! Re:Dive [1][2]. His filmography also includes animation supervision on entries in the Puella Magi Madoka Magica and Re:Zero franchises, and he has kept working steadily into the 2020s on newer titles [1]. Across four decades in the industry, Noda's specialty has stayed consistent: overseeing the on-screen consistency of a show's characters as chief or standard animation supervisor rather than working as a director or writer.
