Cyberpunk: Edgerunners took home Anime of the Year at the seventh Crunchyroll Anime Awards with just one other trophy to its name, Best Voice Artist Performance (English) for Zach Aguilar's David Martinez. *Two wins, one of them the biggest prize of the night.* Everyone else who did better numerically still went home without the top honor.
Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba's Entertainment District Arc, Spy x Family, and Attack on Titan Final Season Part 2 each finished with six trophies apiece, a three-way tie for the most productive night of anyone in the building. Demon Slayer swept the craft categories: Best Action, Best Animation, Best Fantasy, Best Director for Haruo Sotozaki, Best Character Design for Akira Matsushima, and a Spanish dub win for Alejandro Orozco's Gyutaro. Spy x Family and Attack on Titan split the rest almost evenly between story categories and music.
Jujutsu Kaisen 0 took Best Film on its way to a quietly strong night of its own, and Anya Forger won both Best Supporting Character and "Must Protect at All Costs" Character, a combination she'd go on to make something of a habit. A record 18 million fans across 200 countries voted this year, with Sally Amaki and Jon Kabira hosting a ceremony stacked with Hollywood presenters, including Robert Rodriguez, Finn Wolfhard, and Hunter Schafer.
