Don't get me wrong, though. There were some rather neat bits in this title, and some of the action/horror sequences were actually quite effective in their drama. However, the weaknesses in development and timing spoil it a bit.

The Weathering Continent
Kaze no Tairiku · 風の大陸 · 1992
Wandering adventurers uncover haunted ruins and ancient secrets across desolate deserts.
Synopsis
Traversing the sun-scorched wastelands of the ancient continent of Atlantis, young warrior Boice, spirited thief Lakshi, and gentle sorcerer-priest Tieh search desperately for fresh water. Stumbling upon the grand marble spires of Azec Sistra, the travelers believe they have discovered salvation, only to realize the metropolis is a sprawling city of the dead. Thousands of mummified citizens sit peacefully among glittering treasures. When greedy grave robbers desecrate the sacred necropolis, dormant spectral phantoms awaken with murderous fury. Tieh and his companions must wield wind sorcery to escape the cursed tombs alive.
