Story
Synopsis
Black and White are orphaned brothers who effectively rule the streets of Treasure Town, with Black handling the violence and White operating on a logic nobody else can follow. When yakuza arrive backing a development project that would demolish the neighborhood, the brothers' hold on the city and on each other begins fracturing. The film separates them deliberately and then examines what each becomes alone, with Black's capacity for brutality and White's fragile strangeness both revealed as functions of the other's presence. Every separation between them exposes how badly each needs the other present.
