Story
Synopsis
Trapped inside the lethal death game of Sword Art Online, solo swordswoman Asuna Yuuki and frontline scout Kirito continue their upward climb through the floating castle of Aincrad. Upon reaching the subterranean ruins of Floor Five, the duo discovers that tensions between the game's two dominant clearing factions, the Aincrad Liberation Squad and the Dragon Knights Brigade, have reached a boiling point. Instigated by secretive player-killing agitators who seek to profit from communal slaughter, the rival guilds teeter on the brink of civil war. Kirito and Asuna must defuse the sabotage before the upcoming boss raid turns into a massacre.

The player-killing assassin Morte manipulates guild leaders into attacking each other during the Floor Five labyrinth expedition, intending to eliminate top players and seize rare defensive armaments. Working alongside informant Argo, Kirito and Asuna race into the dungeon depths to intercept the saboteurs. During the climactic raid, Kirito and Asuna coordinate with both guild commanders to expose Morte's treacherous trap and defeat the colossal guardian boss, Fuscus the Vacant Colossus. Despite preserving fragile peace among the frontline clearing groups, Kirito and Asuna recognize that sinister player-killer factions will relentlessly stalk them across higher floors.
