Story

Synopsis

Twilight's mission is threatened when a rival spy is assigned to replace him, so the Forgers take a family trip to a resort where Anya can obtain the recipe for a dessert that will win over her school's chef. Naturally, Anya swallows a microfilm containing information a military faction is willing to start a war over, and the family's individual competencies get deployed in complete ignorance of each other. Yor fights on an airship, Loid infiltrates, and Anya knows everything and can say nothing. Every member solves their own crisis while remaining entirely unaware of the others.

Produced by Wit Studio and CloverWorks and adapted from Tatsuya Endo's manga, Code: White is an original story rather than an adaptation of existing chapters, with Endo directly involved in its development. Spy x Family had already become one of the defining anime hits of the 2020s, balancing espionage, comedy, and family warmth without letting any element dominate. The film was a substantial box office success in Japan and confirmed the franchise's ability to carry theatrical releases on its own strength. Its original story allowed the film freedom the manga adaptations could not offer.
