Story

Synopsis

Wandering sorceress Lina Inverse and her boastful companion Naga the White Serpent arrive in the peaceful town of Stonberg, celebrated for its legendary clay golem artisans. After rescuing a young woman named Laia from a runaway golem, Lina and Naga learn that two rival master sculptors, who happen to be estranged father Galia and son Huey, have severed ties over their artistic philosophies. Sensing lucrative rewards, Lina accepts an endorsement deal to design a golem for the father, while Naga spitefully signs with the son, prompting an escalating arms race of magical clay monstrosities.

The competition escalates into total lunacy when the local lord reveals he manipulated both sculptors to build military weapons for regional conquest. Lina constructs a colossal golem sculpted in her own likeness, while Naga builds an equally absurd golem modeled on her voluptuous figure. During the festival tournament, both golems clash in a ridiculous brawl that crushes the lord's palace. When the military plot is exposed, Lina channels her iconic Dragon Slave spell into her golem's fist, annihilating the rogue weapons factory. Lina and Naga escape the furious townspeople without earning a single gold coin.
