Synopsis

A regular modern human is abruptly summoned into a majestic fantasy realm divided into five distinct cultural regions: Central, North, East, West, and South. Entrusted with the sacred title of Master, the protagonist must unite twenty-one eccentric wizards chosen to defend the realm against the Great Calamity, an annual cosmic catastrophe brought by a malevolent moon. Navigating prideful rivalries, profound personal grief, and clashing regional philosophies, the Master works tirelessly to forge emotional trust among these powerful sorcerers before the sky fractures.

Background (may contain spoilers)

Adapted from the popular mobile game created by coly, *Promise of Wizard* was produced as an animated television series by LIDENFILMS. Directed by Naoyuki Tatsuwa with series composition by Nanami Higuchi, the adaptation brings the game rich character lore and intricate worldbuilding to television. Renowned for its poetic dialogue and complex character relationships written by Bunta Tsushimi, the anime captures the fragile camaraderie and epic magical warfare between disparate sorcerers united by solemn duty.
