Story
Synopsis
The pious Roble Holy Kingdom, protected for centuries by colossal fortress walls and divine paladins, faces catastrophic ruin when the arch-demon Jaldabaoth invades at the head of a barbaric demihuman coalition. After Queen Calca Bessarez and her elite paladins are slaughtered by Jaldabaoth's overwhelming magical might, paladin commander Remedios Custodio journeys to the Sorcerer Kingdom to beg the undead Sorcerer King Ainz Ooal Gown for military assistance. Accompanied by squire Neia Baraja, Ainz agrees to intervene personally, entering the burning kingdom with hidden strategic ambitions that manipulate human despair to expand Nazarick's dominion.

Ainz's intervention is an elaborate false-flag campaign orchestrated alongside his subordinate Demiurge, who posed as Jaldabaoth to force the Holy Kingdom into total reliance on Nazarick. Ainz stages his own apparent death in battle against Jaldabaoth, inspiring Neia Baraja to become his devoted fanatic apostle preaching that weakness is a sin and Ainz is supreme justice. Ainz dramatically returns to resurrect Neia and eradicate Jaldabaoth with high-tier magic. The northern Holy Kingdom falls into complete religious worship of Ainz, while a puppet king is installed in the south, peacefully annexing the territory into the Sorcerer Kingdom.
