Synopsis
Thirty years after the legendary Tachibana brothers made high school baseball history at Meisei Academy, the school's baseball club has fallen into a long, agonizing slump. Hope arrives in the form of two stepbrothers born on the exact same day: Touma Tachibana, an effortless pitching prodigy with blistering fastball velocity, and Souichirou Tachibana, a sharp-eyed, gifted catcher and cleanup hitter. Bound together by their parents' remarriage and a shared passion for the sport, the brothers form an extraordinary battery. Alongside Souichirou's spirited younger sister Otomi, Touma and Souichirou join the Meisei Junior High and High School teams, battling fierce regional rivals to restore Meisei's reputation and reach Koshien.

MIX: Meisei Story is based on the baseball sports manga created by legendary mangaka Mitsuru Adachi, serving as the spiritual successor to his iconic 1980s masterpiece Touch. Produced by studio OLM and directed by Toshinori Fukushima with series composition by Michihiro Tsuchiya, the 24-episode television anime aired in Spring 2019 on Yomiuri TV and Nippon TV. Featuring Noriko Hidaka returning to narrate the series, the anime was acclaimed for preserving Adachi's signature nostalgic atmosphere and romantic baseball drama.
