Re:Zero Watch Order: Seasons 1-4 and the Memory Snow and Frozen Bond OVAs, in order

Re:Zero has no filler. None. Every episode pushes the story forward, so the watch order is basically release order. The only wrinkle? Two OVAs sit between Season 1 and Season 2, and nobody ever knows what to do with them. Let's fix that.
Watch Season 1 first. That's Subaru getting dropped into another world, which goes about as well as you'd expect. After Season 1 you've got Memory Snow and The Frozen Bond. Both are optional side stories. Memory Snow is character-driven, and The Frozen Bond looks at Emilia's past with Puck. Season 2 doesn't need either, so skip them if you only want the main story. Think of them as deleted scenes on a DVD: nice to have, not required.
Season 2 comes in two parts, aired in 2020 and 2021. Season 3 followed in two arcs: the Attack Arc in October 2024 and the Counterattack Arc in February 2025. Season 4 is 19 episodes across two arcs: the Loss Arc, 11 episodes starting April 8, 2026, and the Recapture Arc, eight episodes starting August 12, 2026.
One more thing. A handful of short Manner Movie clips and promo announcements are attached to the OVAs. Those aren't story, so they're not in this list.
At the end: Season 1, the two OVAs if you want them, then Seasons 2, 3 and 4. Fair warning, Subaru has a rough time. Keep tissues handy.
Season 1 and the OVAs
Start here. Subaru gets pulled into another world and finds out he can die and come back.
Side story set after Season 1. Character-focused and not required for Season 2.
Released between Season 1 and Season 2. It's a character-driven story, and nothing in Season 2 depends on it. Watch it if you want more time with the cast.
Emilia's backstory with Puck. Adds context but is not required.
Released after Memory Snow and before Season 2. It gives Emilia's past some depth, and it can be watched before or after Season 2 without breaking the main story.
Season 2
Season 2 Part 1, aired in 2020. Continues directly from Season 1.
Season 2 Part 2, aired in 2021.
Season 3 and Season 4
Aired in two arcs: the Attack Arc in October 2024 and the Counterattack Arc in February 2025.
Aired in 2026: the Loss Arc from April 8 and the Recapture Arc from August 12.
Season 4 runs 19 episodes in total: 11 for the Loss Arc and 8 for the Recapture Arc.
