Jujutsu Kaisen Watch Order: Seasons, Movies and Where Culling Game Fits, in order
“Seasons, the 0 prequel film and the Culling Game arc in the right order, with a skip list.”
Here's a fun trick question: where does the Jujutsu Kaisen 0 movie go? Answer: after Season 1 and before Season 2. Not at the very start, even though it's a prequel. I know, prequels are supposed to go first. Hear me out.
Season 1 is where you meet Yuji and get hooked. The 0 movie is set before all of it, but its lead, Yuta Okkotsu, comes back in Season 2 and then becomes a big deal in the Culling Game. Watch the film after Season 1 and you already know the world, so the movie hits harder and Yuta's return actually lands.
Then comes Season 2, which already includes the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death arc and the Shibuya Incident. That means the Season 2 recap special and the Hidden Inventory movie are repeats. Think of them as the highlight reel of a match you just watched in full. Skippable.
The Culling Game is where it gets tricky. Season 3 is called The Culling Game Part 1, and it aired from January 9 to March 27, 2026, 12 episodes. There's also a theatrical film called Execution (Japan, November 2025) that re-edits the Shibuya Incident and tacks on the first two episodes of Season 3. If you watch it, those two episodes are covered, so start Season 3 from episode 3.
Season 4 is The Culling Game Part 2. It's confirmed and MAPPA has teased it, but no release date has been announced, so it's marked upcoming. Season 3 ends on a cliffhanger, so if you're catching up right now, brace yourself for the wait. (Sorry.)
At the end, the order is simple: Season 1, the 0 movie, Season 2, Season 3 (Execution is optional), then Season 4 when it lands.
Tokyo Jujutsu High
Start here. Yuji swallows a cursed finger and his life gets complicated fast.
Prequel film. Watch it after Season 1 and before Season 2.
The film takes place before Season 1, but its lead returns in Season 2 and plays a big role in the Culling Game. Watch it before Season 2 so his return means something.
Hidden Inventory and Shibuya
Hidden Inventory/Premature Death, then the Shibuya Incident. Long, and it hurts.
This is the season where the series gets noticeably darker. If you're deciding whether to keep going after Season 1, this is the point to know about.
Recap special. A highlight reel, nothing new.
Only useful if you took a long break and want a refresher before moving on.
Theatrical re-edit of material already in Season 2. Skip if you've watched the season.
This film re-edits the Hidden Inventory/Premature Death material that Season 2 already covers. If you've watched the season, you've seen all of it.
The Culling Game
Shibuya recap plus Season 3 episodes 1 and 2.
Released in theaters in Japan on November 7, 2025, with North American dates starting December 5, 2025. You can watch it in place of the first two episodes of Season 3. If you do, start Season 3 from episode 3.
The Culling Game Part 1. Aired January 9 to March 27, 2026, 12 episodes.
Upcoming. Confirmed with a teaser, no release date yet.
The Season 3 finale said the story continues in Season 4, so Part 1 ends on a cliffhanger. If you're watching Season 3 right now, know that you will be waiting for what happens next.
