In a fantasy realm where social status, magical aptitude, and physical survival depend strictly on the magical marks on one's face, Mash Burnedead is born completely magicless. Raised in deep secrecy by his adoptive grandfather, Mash spends his youth relentlessly pumping iron, developing unbelievable superhuman strength and physical speed. When his secret is discovered by corrupt magical police, Mash is given one option to protect his peaceful life: enroll in the prestigious Easton Magic Academy and become a Divine Visionary. Armed only with biceps, fists, and cream puffs, Mash smashes magic spells with raw muscle power.

A-1 Pictures animated this television series, which broadcast in spring 2023. Directed by Tomoya Tanaka and written by Yousuke Kuroda, the anime adapts Hajime Koumoto's hit Shounen Jump manga series. The production brilliantly parodied classic wizarding tropes from Western fantasy literature like *Harry Potter*, juxtaposing whimsical magical settings against absurd deadpan physical gags. Voice actor Chiaki Kobayashi delivered an iconic understated performance as Mash, helping the series gain immense global popularity. Its subsequent viral popularity exploded across social media platforms, cementing Mashle as a modern comedic shounen juggernaut.
