Story

Synopsis

Residing in the snowy countryside of Akita Prefecture, energetic Akita-mix dog Muco believes her owner, glassblower Komatsu, has the greatest job in the entire universe. Overflowing with unconditional adoration and boundless curiosity, Muco spends her days watching Komatsu shape molten glassware, begging for belly rubs, and eagerly waiting for her favorite towel to come out of the laundry. Accompanied by Komatsu's quirky friends like Ushida and Shinohara, Muco views every mundane backyard squirrel chase, vet visit, and winter snowdrift as an epic adventure designed purely for her entertainment.

Adapted from Takayuki Mizushina's beloved comedy manga serialized in Evening, this short anime adaptation was animated by DLE under the direction of Romanov Higa. Featuring charming flash animation and lively internal monologues voiced by Hitomi Yoshida, the series captures the hilarious, wholesome misunderstandings between dogs and humans, serving as the delightful precursor to the full-length television anime that followed in 2015.
