Story

Synopsis

Madoka Kyouno is a bright, athletic high school girl living in the coastal resort city of Kamogawa in Chiba Prefecture. As the proud sole member of the Kamogawa Girls' High School Jersey Club, Madoka spends her free time selflessly helping anyone in town who needs a hand. Her ordinary life takes a cosmic turn when a mysterious alien girl named Lan arrives, urgently begging Madoka to pilot Vox Aura, a mysterious robotic mecha dormant beneath the offshore waters. When hostile extraterrestrial forces attack Earth, Madoka activates the giant robot, discovering that her natural empathy and joyful spirit allow her to synchronize with its ancient technology, plunging her into an intergalactic conflict.

Lagrange: The Flower of Rin-ne (Rinne no Lagrange) is an original mecha anime television series conceived and produced by Production I.G, animated by Xebec, and directed by Toshimasa Suzuki with chief direction by Tatsuo Sato. Premiering in January 2012 on Yomiuri TV and Tokyo MX, the project was noted for its close promotional partnership with the real-life city of Kamogawa and robotic mecha designs created by Nissan Motors' automotive designers. The series concluded its narrative arc across two 12-episode seasons.
