A military investigator investigates waves of mass suicides in a totalitarian utopia.
Synopsis
Following a catastrophic global nuclear conflict known as the Maelstrom, surviving nations establish a sterile totalitarian medical utopia governed by the World Health Organization. Through the WatchMe internal nanomachine monitoring network, human illness and pain are eradicated, turning citizens into compliant state property. Tuan Kirie, who survived an adolescent suicide rebellion organized by her nihilistic classmate Miach Mihie thirteen years earlier, now serves as an international military investigator. When thousands of citizens suddenly commit suicide simultaneously, Tuan is assigned to investigate the attacks, discovering that Miach's ghost has weaponized the medical network to extinguish human individuality forever.

Its core narrative just about holds up, but this overly long and overly verbose film flatters to deceive - it says so much, yet somehow ends up saying nothing.
