Synopsis
This prequel returns to Haruka Nanase's middle school years, before the friendships and rivalries that define the television series had settled into their eventual shape. Makoto is there, Rin has already left for Australia, and the relationships between the boys are still being negotiated rather than assumed. The film explores how Haruka's relationship with water became the defining fact of his life, and how a group that would later seem inevitable was actually assembled through considerable friction.
