Story
Synopsis
While cleaning out a storage shed, Nobita discovers a tattered, patched cloth teddy bear that his beloved late grandmother hand-sewed for him when he was a toddler. Overcome by intense nostalgia and grief, Nobita begs Doraemon to take him back in time using the Time Machine so he can catch just a brief, distant glimpse of his grandmother before she passed away. Doraemon agrees under the strict condition that Nobita must remain hidden and avoid altering history. Arriving three years in the past, Nobita observes his younger toddler self throwing selfish tantrums.
⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Unable to resist his longing, Nobita sneaks into his old house while his younger self is out. Instead of screaming in terror, his gentle grandmother instantly recognizes Nobita as her beloved grandson from the future, welcoming him with warm hugs and freshly sliced fruit. She confesses her secret lifelong dream: to live long enough to see Nobita wear a primary school backpack. Nobita dashes home, retrieves his red school bag, and models it proudly for her. Weeping with pure happiness, grandmother thanks him, and Nobita returns to the present with boundless gratitude.
