Story

Synopsis

Inspired by classic pirate literature, Nobita persuades Doraemon to assemble a fleet of toy vessels and ocean gadgets for a lighthearted treasure hunting expedition. Their nautical voyage turns perilous when a sudden spacetime whirlpool pulls the entire party into the Caribbean Sea during the seventeenth century. Swept overboard by a monstrous tidal wave, Nobita is separated from Doraemon and rescued by Captain Kidd's pirate vessel. While Doraemon, Shizuka, Gian, and Suneo scour the tropical waters, they uncover rumors of a cursed phantom island governed by unnatural aquatic beasts.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Doraemon and the kids reunite with Nobita and learn that the monstrous sea creature Leviathan is a genetically modified synthetic predator created by Kasshiku, an illegal black-market bio-engineer from the future. Operating from an invisible floating fortress, Kasshiku plans to conquer history using his cloned abominations. Doraemon, Nobita, and Captain Kidd's pirate crew breach the citadel, dismantle the control systems, and eradicate Leviathan through coordinated gadget combat. The Time Patrol arrives just in time to arrest Kasshiku, allowing Nobita and his friends to safely return to contemporary Japan.
