Synopsis
Five-year-old Shinnosuke Nohara and his Kasukabe Defense Force friends receive an elite invitation to attend a week-long trial enrollment at Tenkatouitsu Private Academy, a prestigious, hyper-modern boarding school governed by an artificial intelligence scoring system. Toru Kazama is desperate to earn top marks and gain permanent admission, hoping to secure a bright future with Shin-chan. However, an eerie mystery strikes the campus: students are attacked by a cloaked phantom who bites their buttocks, draining their intelligence and transforming them into slack-jawed dunces. When Kazama is bitten, Shin-chan establishes a detective club to solve the case.
⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Shin-chan and his friends discover that the phantom attacks were orchestrated by the school's headmaster and an overzealous AI system called Otsumun, which deemed Kazama's rebellious attachment to Shin-chan an inefficiency to be erased. Forced into a high-stakes marathon race against a brainwashed super-genius Kazama, Shin-chan runs with relentless ridiculous energy, appealing to Kazama's true childhood memories. Kazama breaks free from the AI's programming, realizing friendship matters far more than test scores. The students dismantle the abusive point system, restoring joy and creativity to Tenkazu Academy.
