Story
Synopsis
Following the traumatic, sudden dissolution of their middle school band CRYCHIC, quiet vocalist Tomori Takamatsu retreats into deep self-blame, convinced that her emotional awkwardness destroyed her friendships. Entering high school, Tomori is pulled back into music by energetic classmate Anon Chihaya, who is eager to form a trendy new band to elevate her social status. Along with former CRYCHIC members Soyo Nagasaki and Taki Shiina, as well as eccentric guitarist Rana Kaname, the girls assemble an unstable rock unit. However, unspoken resentments and clashing motivations threaten to tear the fledgling ensemble apart before their first concert.

The theatrical cut re-edits the raw drama of MyGO's messy formation, focusing on Soyo's desperate attempts to resurrect CRYCHIC by sabotaging the new band. When Soyo abandons a rehearsal, Tomori stands on stage at Live House RiNG and delivers an unscripted, tearful poetry recitation that pulls each member back onto the stage. Through an explosive, chaotic performance of Haruhikage, the girls release their buried pain and commit to remaining a band even if they remain awkward outcasts forever. The film concludes with the debut of their rival band Ave Mujica, setting up their bitter upcoming rivalry.
