Story

Synopsis

Vocalist Yukina Minato is driven by an unyielding determination to reach the legendary Future World Fes, seeking to surpass the musical legacy of her father. Refusing to compromise her artistic standards, Yukina scouts elite musicians to assemble a premier gothic rock band named Roselia. Guitarist Sayo Hikawa, bassist Lisa Imai, drummer Ako Udagawa, and keyboardist Rinko Shirokane join the ensemble, each carrying personal insecurities regarding skill and creative expression. As Roselia begins performing at local live houses, the five girls must harmonize their contrasting personalities into a singular musical force.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Yukina's rigid, uncompromising demands cause friction during rehearsals, particularly when she harshly criticizes Lisa's playing. Lisa questions whether she belongs in the band, believing her musical talent falls far behind her peers. However, after Lisa brings homemade cookies and leaves a demo cassette of an original song, Yukina and Sayo realize that Lisa's warm emotional support is the spiritual foundation holding Roselia together. Yukina tearfully apologizes and performs Yakusoku at their solo concert, formally promising that all five members will reach the Future World Fes together as an indivisible family.
