Biography
Kumiko Kawahara is a Japanese animator known for her work as a key animator and animation director on recent television and streaming anime. She served as a key animator on the fantasy series The Ancient Magus' Bride Season 2 (2023) and on the Netflix adaptation Pluto (2023) [1]. She also worked as animation director on The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten (2023) and as assistant animation director on Owarimonogatari (2015) [1]. Her credited output spans key animation, animation direction, and assistant animation direction across a range of productions from the mid-2010s through the early 2020s.
