Biography
Kiyomu Fukuda is a Japanese director, animator, and character designer born May 18, 1944, whose career in the industry stretches back to 1969 [1][2]. He built his early reputation as a key animator and character designer, contributing chief animation work to titles including Kamui Gaiden and Mirai Kara Shonen Super Jetter, and he ran his own studio, Atelier Fukurou, from 1986 to 1991 [1]. Working under the pseudonym Kan Fukumoto, Fukuda became one of the more prolific directors of original adult animation (OAV) in the 1990s and 2000s, directing titles such as Injuu Gakuen La Blue Girl (1992), Advancer Tina (1997), and Taboo Charming Mother (2003) [1][2]. Outside that pseudonymous work, he has had a long career as an episode director and key animator on mainstream television series, contributing episodes to Naruto, Naruto Shippuden, Bleach, Black Clover, and Attack on Titan, along with the film Road to Ninja: Naruto the Movie [2].
