Synopsis

Haru Tennouji is a dangerously charismatic, silver-tongued extrovert endowed with boundless ambition, while Manabu Taira is a brilliant yet socially awkward programming genius rejected by corporate interviewers. Recognizing that their complementary talents make them an unstoppable duo, Haru convinces Manabu to turn down safe employment and co-found an independent startup company from scratch. With zero capital, no reputation, and only a shared audacious goal, the pair scheme, bluff, and out-code ruthless corporate executives in their quest to accumulate one trillion dollars. Battling massive monopolies, Haru and Manabu wager everything on high-stakes business gambles.

Animated by studio Madhouse and directed by Yuzo Sato, *Trillion Game* adapts the popular corporate suspense manga written by Riichiro Inagaki and illustrated by Ryoichi Ikegami. Premiering on TBS in autumn 2024, the television series brought Ikegami's iconic, hyper-detailed character aesthetics and Inagaki's rapid-fire psychological pacing to the small screen. The production features a sharp electronic soundtrack composed by Takatsugu Wakabayashi, accentuating the breakneck tension of venture capital negotiations and cyber warfare. The adaptation was praised for its energetic depiction of entrepreneurial hustle and the electric dynamic between its ambitious lead protagonists.
