“Super-powered elementalists duel, and breasts get sucked, in a solid actioner which may be the most explicit and perverse anime TV series to date. Its decidedly unclean fun is definitely not recommended for all audiences.”

The Qwaser of Stigmata
Seikon no Qwaser · 聖痕のクェイサー · 2010
Elemental alchemists wage divine warfare powered by an eccentric sacred fuel.
Synopsis
At Saint Mikhailov Academy, high school students Mafuyu Oribe and Tomo Yamanobe discover a wounded, silver-haired Russian boy named Alexander Nikolaevich Sasha Hell. Sasha is an alchemical combatant known as a Qwaser, capable of manipulating iron at will by drawing sacred elemental energy called Soma from female partners. Tasked by the Eastern Orthodox Church with securing an ancient mystical relic known as the Theotokos of Tsarytsin, Sasha becomes embroiled in deadly conflicts against rival heretical factions. Together with his school companions, Sasha defends the academy against brutal supernatural assassins seeking apocalyptic relics.
Background (may contain spoilers)
Adapted from the dark fantasy manga written by Hiroyuki Yoshino and illustrated by Kenetsu Satou, *The Qwaser of Stigmata* was produced by Hoods Entertainment under the direction of Hiraku Kaneko. Broadcast in 2010 across twenty-four episodes, the series gained international notoriety for blending intense supernatural action with provocative adult fanservice mechanics. Despite controversy surrounding its explicit premise, the production featured elaborate elemental battles, gothic aesthetic flourishes, and detailed theological worldbuilding that spawned an OVA special and a second television season.
