Story

Synopsis

After fighting on bloody battlefields for decades, decorated war veteran Dias finally retires, eager to savor peaceful country life. In recognition of his heroic military service, the royal crown rewards him with an expansive frontier domain. Upon arriving, however, Dias discovers his grand territory is nothing more than desolate empty plains with a population of exactly zero. Accustomed only to battlefield tactics, Dias has no idea how to farm or build civilization from scratch. His fortunes change when he encounters Alna, a mysterious horned maiden from the plains tribe who reveals the untapped agricultural potential and magical secrets hidden beneath the endless grasslands.

⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Adapted from the popular fantasy light novel series written by Fuurou and illustrated by KeG, this television anime adaptation was animated by animation studio42 for broadcast in 2026. The series captured enthusiastic attention among fantasy and world-building fans for its methodical frontier development, heartwarming romance between Dias and Alna, and realistic settlement politics. Blending agrarian logistics with tactical territory defense, the production delivers an endearing pastoral saga celebrating peaceful coexistence, community growth, and quiet redemption after prolonged wartime devastation.
