A show with some incredibly contrived murder plots, but it's never boring, and occasionally emotionally charged (that story arc in Episodes 19-22, in particular.) Kindaichi's sexist insensitivity to Miyuki did lower my opinion of him a bit. 4 stars.

So I was a bit disappointed this time, not just because it doesn't do anything new with the formula, but more so because it mostly doesn't do as much WITHIN the formula as it sometimes did in the first season.
