When Shun is abducted by shadow agents answering to the insidious scientist Professor Sadler, Ryu journeys into underground fighting tournaments alongside Ken Masters, Chun-Li, and Birdie. Ryu must conquer his inner demonic bloodlust to rescue Shun before Sadler siphons their fighting spirits.

Directed by Shigeyasu Yamauchi and animated by studio Plum with character designs by Yoshihiko Umakoshi, this 1999 theatrical adaptation translates Capcom hit arcade prequel *Street Fighter Alpha*.
