Synopsis
Set in the year 2207, fragile peace in the Solar System is shattered when the enigmatic Bolar Federation and the technologically overwhelming Dezarium armada launch a sudden, coordinated invasion of Earth. Capturing key defensive orbitals and deploying massive gravitational suppression anchors, the invaders subjugate the civilian population, demanding unconditional surrender. With military command compromised, Susumu Kodai and the veteran crew of the legendary Space Battleship Yamato stage a daring mutiny to reclaim their vessel from drydock, embarking into deep space to locate the true origin of the mysterious invaders.
⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Kodai discovers that the Dezarium invaders claim to be temporal descendants of Earth itself, hailing from one thousand years in the future where humanity's homeworld was annihilated by a cosmic energy catastrophe. When the Dezarium occupation forces deploy automated black-fleet battleships to destroy the lunar defense perimeter, Yamato coordinates with allied Gamilas forces. Kodai fires the Wave Motion Gun through a gravitational rift, disabling the flagship's cloaking shields. Rescuing captured officers, Yamato breaches the outer boundary of the solar system, setting out across the cosmos to rewrite Earth's catastrophic future.
