Story

Synopsis

Sung Jinwoo is the weakest hunter in a world where gates to another dimension opened over a decade ago and people with superhuman abilities emerged to clear the dungeons inside them. After surviving an incident that should have killed him, he gains the ability to level up like a video game character, growing from a liability into something entirely unprecedented. This theatrical presentation recaps that first season's transformation before continuing directly into the opening of the story's next stage. Every level he gains widens the gap between him and everyone around him.

Produced by A-1 Pictures and adapted from Chugong's Korean web novel, Solo Leveling: ReAwakening premiered in Japan in November 2024 with an international release the following month. The film combines a condensed recap of the first season with the premiere of the second season's opening episodes, a distribution strategy increasingly used to build theatrical momentum ahead of a television return. Solo Leveling had already become one of the most globally popular recent anime adaptations, driven by its extremely satisfying power progression structure.
