Synopsis
Keroro Platoon's comical attempts to invade Pekopon are interrupted when Sergeant Keroro and his human companion Fuyuki Hinata visit Machu Picchu in Peru to investigate ancient Incan ruins. Inadvertently triggering an extraterrestrial defense system, Keroro activates Dark Keroro, an aggressive imperial clone program created by ancient Keronian military engineers. Dark Keroro arrives over Tokyo aboard a colossal flying sky fortress, deploying brainwashing spores that subdue Earth's population and converting Keroro's platoon comrades into ruthless conquerors. Keroro and Fuyuki must rally their few remaining allies to reclaim Tokyo from imperial domination.
⚠ Background — may contain spoilers
Dark Keroro captures Tamama, Giroro, and Kururu, brainwashing them into elite enforcers to construct an orbital planetary subjugation weapon. With help from human allies Natsumi, Koyuki, and the mysterious alien girl Shivava, Keroro and Fuyuki infiltrate the airborne mega-fortress. Fuyuki helps Dark Keroro realize that true leadership comes from companionship and mutual affection rather than tyrannical force. When the ancient Keronian defense computer goes berserk, Dark Keroro sacrifices his superweapon to protect Earth, befriending Keroro before flying off into deep space to find his own benevolent path.
