Synopsis

Traumatized by childhood bullying and betrayal, sixteen-year-old high schooler Mei Tachibana has spent years avoiding social contact, convinced that friends inevitably let you down. Her isolated existence is disrupted when a misunderstanding on the stairwell leads her to accidentally kick Yamato Kurosawa, the school most popular student. Intrigued by her guarded demeanor and fierce independence, Yamato pursues her friendship, even intervening to protect her from a dangerous stalker. As Mei reluctantly allows Yamato into her guarded world, she navigates the complexities of romantic vulnerability, peer jealousy, and genuine connection.
